The Global Lives Project is an international collaboration of filmmakers, designers, architects, activists and institutions from around the globe.
It is a collective of more than 300 volunteers around the world working to build a video library of human life experience. We conduct 24-hour long video recordings of the daily life of individuals in different countries as well as life-story interviews, and then we show these videos online and in immersive video installations. We have already done shoots in Malawi, Indonesia, Brazil, Japan, China, India and the US, and we have shoots scheduled in the coming weeks in Serbia and Syria.
We have shown our work at a variety of venues in many of these countries, including the United Nations University in Tokyo, the Arts House in Singapore, a favela in São Paulo, and high schools in China and Japan.
